The “EMSc-INS Professional Talk” is a talk series organized by the Executive Master of Science Programme of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, aiming to connect industry practitioners with the students as well as our renowned scholars.
We are very honoured to have Ms. Vivian Chan, Head of Accident and Health (Hong Kong) & Underwriting Manager (Asia) of Starr International Insurance (Asia) Limited, to share her industry experience. The topic of the talk is about Accident and Health Insurance Development in Hong Kong and Asia. Details are as follows:

About the speaker:
Vivian has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry specializing in underwriting, insurance broking and reinsurance placement. Currently, she has been appointed by Starr International Insurance (Asia) Limited as the Head of Accident and Health (Hong Kong) and Underwriting Manager (Asia) responsible for a leading role in strategic portfolio management and underwriting. Prior to joining Starr, she held various senior positions at Zurich Insurance Company Limited and Marsh (Hong Kong) Limited. Vivian is also active in contributing into the insurance industry by participating in different insurance associations, and she was the President of Chinese Underwriters Club in 2015/16.
