The “EMSc-INS Professional Talk” is a talk series organized by the Executive Master of Science Programme of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, aiming to connect industry practitioners with the students as well as our renowned scholars.
We are very honoured to have Mr. Mark Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Howden Insurance Brokers (HK) Limited, to share his industry experience. The topic of the talk is about Global Reinsurance Market Report. Details are as follows:

About the speaker:
Mark Johnson is the Chief Executive Officer of Howden Insurance Brokers (HK) Limited and Howden Specialty Hong Kong Limited.
Prior to joining Howden in 2017, Mark was the country CEO of JLT Thailand based in Bangkok. Before that he spent 9 years with AIG mainly in Hong Kong as head of Commercial Lines but also including a secondment to Canada where he was responsible for the Energy book of business. Mark started his career in the London market with Lowndes Lambert Construction Limited, moving to Lambert Brothers Insurance Brokers Limited in Hong Kong in 1995.
Mark is the Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Confederation of Insurance Brokers (HKCIB). He was Chairman for two years when HKCIB was one of the approved regulatory bodies for insurance brokers in Hong Kong.
