The ”EMSc-INS Professional Talk” is a talk series organized by the Executive Master of Science Programme of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, aiming to connect industry practitioners with the students as well as our renowned scholars.
We are very honoured to have Ms. Fion Chau, Director and Head of HK Office of Deriv (HK) Limited, to share her industry experience. The topic of the talk is about Due Diligence of Financial Services Companies. Details are as follows:

About the speaker:
Ms. Chau has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, spanning from compliance, due diligence, risk management, strategic and M&A/ restructuring advisory. Currently, she is the Director of Deriv (HK) Limited and Head of HK Office. Prior to joining Deriv (HK) Limited, Ms. Chau had held senior positions at various SFC licensed corporations and worked for firms including KPMG Corporate Finance and Commerzbank. Throughout her career, she had been responsible for monitoring the operation of and performing due diligence on various financial services companies such as payment agent, securities brokerages, asset/ wealth manager and insurance companies/ brokerages.
Ms. Chau graduated with a Master of Laws in Corporate and Financial Law from The University of Hong Kong. She is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
